TRAIL GUIDES UK
Introduction
The Nidderdale Way is 53 miles long and runs along the entire length of Nidderdale in the Yorkshire Dales, from Ripley (not far from Harrogate) to Scar House Reservoir at the head of the dale, and then back along the opposite bank of the River Nidd to Ripley. This walk encompasses a large variety of landscapes, from riverbank walking to walking on high moors, along reservoir and, through farms.
I walked it with my wife, Carol, in the summer of 2008. We travelled each day from our nearby holiday cottage, Craven Ridge, in Giggleswick.
