THE WHITE PEAK WAY IS THE SOUTHERN EXTENSION OF THE PENNINE WAY
NATIONAL
TRAIL GUIDES UK
Introduction
The White Peak Way is 35 miles long, is entirely in the County of Derbyshire, and runs from the car park in the twee village of Thorpe to Edale, passing through some of the most scenic countryside in the UK. This includes the famous and romantic dale known as Dovedale, through which the River Dove flows on its way to the Trent. This long distance footpath is outstandingly attractive and for the most part is easily accessible to old and young alike. It is often regarded as the southern extension to the Pennine Way, which runs from Kirk Yethold in Scotland to Edale, where the White Peak White ends.
